A twenty something mama!

Welcome to my blog!

Since this is my first post, I thought maybe I should tell you a little about me. I am a twenty something mom to a wonderful year old daughter, CW, who is the light of our lives. We are also expecting number #2 in October. I am fortunate enough to have a job that I love that allows me the flexibility that is required to work on school and to take care of her. It also means working for my father. Yes, the irony! Actually, after 5 years, I really love my job. My father and I have had our ups and downs but we have always been able to pull through. Plus he loves to have CW come into the office with me. Hopefully in October we will be able to work it out for me to work from home two days a week while dad is out of the office. If it works, it should be an adventure!

When I was pregnant the first time I decided that I was bored and needed a project...my project turned into getting my Masters in Business Administration. I have 9 more classes or just over 1 year left. I love the program that I am in but I can't wait to finish. When I am done I plan to work on my PhD and hopefully teach college eventually. Can you see why I call it Mama and More...

Besides CW, hubby and I have three wonderful puppies who keeps us on our toes. The puppies love CW so much and it is great to see her interact with them. Sometimes I wish we had more room just so they have more space to run but they don't seem to mind or notice like I do. Our fur-babies include two beautiful red-heeler females who act like sisters (and fight like them too!) and one blue-heeler border collie mix male who could care less what his sisters are up to, unless it involves food.

When it comes to CW, I try to keep a very open mind! We have been cloth diapering since she was 2 weeks old, though I'm not sure I can be considered that 'crunchy'. Cloth diapering is addicting ... as my dear hubby can attest, along with his bank account :) I am always on the look out for cute new diapers for CW and of course for the new one coming!! I love chatting about diapers so I'm sure there will be tons of that around here!!
